[2025 하계] 청년 3차 - '김카리나' 참가자 수기 (키르기스스탄 거주)

 

First of all, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the organizers, sponsors, and staff of the OkFriends program.

I am participating in the OkFriends summer camp for the second time, and that’s because it always leaves me with the warmest and brightest memories of my life. This year, I had the chance to visit places I had never even heard of before, learn more about Korean culture and history, taste incredible dishes that I kept thinking about long after, and most importantly, meet precious new friends who have become like a small family to me.

Although I have always loved tteokbokki, I had never known how to make it. But after visiting the Tteok Museum and learning about the process of making rice cakes, I am determined to treat my family to them even more often.

One of the most fascinating experiences was our trip to the National Science Museum. There, my team and I didn’t just look at exhibits — we actively took part in small, hands-on experiments. I was also pleasantly surprised during the taekwondo show, where young children, with the strength of adults, effortlessly broke wooden boards and then performed a dance with incredible skill.

The performance at the Buyeo National Museum took my breath away. We were able not only to see artifacts but also to hear their stories come to life.

I spent an incredibly warm and fulfilling time that I will cherish forever. OkFriends is not just a camp — it is a grand bridge where people from all over the world meet, creating unforgettable memories together.

저는 이번이 두 번째로 OkFriends 여름 캠프에 참가하는 것이며, 그 이유는 이 캠프가 제 인생에서 가장 따뜻하고 빛나는 추억을 남겨주기 때문입니다. 올해는 이전에는 알지 못했던 새로운 장소들을 방문하고, 한국의 문화와 역사에 대해 더 깊이 배우며, 오래도록 기억에 남을 만큼 맛있는 음식들을 맛볼 수 있었습니다. 무엇보다도, 소중한 새로운 친구들을 만나게 되었고, 그들은 제게 작은 가족과도 같은 존재가 되었습니다.

 

저는 평소에 떡볶이를 좋아하지만, 직접 만드는 방법은 알지 못했습니다. 그러나 떡 박물관을 방문하여 떡을 만드는 과정을 배우고 나서는 앞으로 가족들에게 더 자주 떡 요리를 해주어야겠다고 다짐하게 되었습니다.

 

가장 인상 깊었던 경험 중 하나는 국립과학관 방문이었습니다. 그곳에서 저와 팀원들은 단순히 전시물을 구경하는 데 그치지 않고, 직접 참여할 수 있는 흥미로운 실험 활동에도 함께했습니다. 또한 태권도 공연에서는 어린아이들이 성인 못지않은 힘으로 나무 판을 가볍게 부수고, 이어서 수준 높은 춤을 선보이는 모습을 보고 크게 감탄했습니다.

 

부여국립박물관에서의 공연 또한 숨이 멎을 만큼 감동적이었습니다. 우리는 유물들을 눈으로 볼 수 있었을 뿐만 아니라, 그 속에 담긴 이야기를 직접 들을 수 있었습니다.

 

저는 이번 캠프에서 매우 따뜻하고 보람찬 시간을 보냈으며, 이 추억은 평생 잊지 못할 것입니다. OkFriends는 단순한 캠프가 아니라, 전 세계 사람들이 만나 함께 잊지 못할 추억을 만들어 가는 거대한 우정의 다리입니다.
