[2025 하계] 청소년 4차 15조 소감문

 

박명언 (거주국: 오스트리아)

제가 이번 재외동포 초청 연수에 참가한 이유는 한국에 대한 이해와 애정을 더 키우고 싶었기 때문입니다. 또래 한국인 친구들을 만나고 교류하고 싶은 마음도 컸습니다. 어릴 때 7년간 유학 생활을 하면서 한국 친구들과 함께한 추억이 많지 않았습니다. 그래서 이번 기회를 통해 새로운 친구들과 함께 한국을 알아가고 싶었습니다. 저처럼 해외에 사는 친구들의 삶과 이야기도 궁금했기에 더 기대됐습니다. 제가 속했던 15조에는 모두 착하고 따뜻한 친구들이 있었습니다. 조를 이끌어주신 리더분들도 항상 친절하고 든든하게 저희를 챙겨주셨습니다. 덕분에 처음 만난 사이임에도 금세 가까워질 수 있었습니다. 저는 수도권 팀에 배정되었는데, 그중 인천 지역 고등학교 체험이 가장 인상 깊었습니다. ‘페인터즈 히어로’ 공연도 아주 인상적이었습니다. 장기자랑 시간과 현대 모터스튜디오 방문도 기억에 남습니다. 다양한 프로그램을 통해 한국에 대해 넓고 깊게 배울 수 있어서 기뻤습니다. 이번 연수를 통해 대한민국이 정말 자랑스러운 나라라는 걸 다시 느꼈습니다. 캠프가 끝났다는 사실이 너무 아쉽고 섭섭합니다. 다음에도 기회가 된다면 꼭 다시 참여하고 싶습니다.

Joining the 2025 OKFriends Camp in Korea was an amazing experience. I met kind, talented teens from different countries, and we quickly became close like a family. The camp helped me learn more about Korean culture through fun activities like traditional games, cooking, and dance.

 

Visiting historic sites like Gyeongbokgung Palace made me feel proud of my roots. I also improved my Korean and English and became more confident speaking both.

 

One of the best moments was the closing ceremony — emotional and unforgettable. I’m so grateful for the friends I made and the memories I’ll carry with me forever. Thank you for this beautiful opportunity!

Hello! I participated in the 4th round of the OKF 2025 program.

I want to say that I am incredibly happy to have had the opportunity to take part in this program. These 7 days were truly unforgettable! I experienced so many emotions, impressions, and created wonderful memories. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the creators of the program for giving me this chance to gain such a valuable experience.

Thanks to them, I was able to visit my historical homeland and learn more about its history, culture, and traditions. I also met new people and broadened my horizons.

A special thank you to our group leaders who supported us in everything, gave advice, helped out, and made this week even more vibrant!

I’m very grateful for the opportunity to attend this camp—it was an honor for me. We had so much fun, I met new friends from all over the world, and we’re still keeping in touch. This camp offered an incredible chance not only to learn about Korean culture but also to improve our social skills. For me, it was an unforgettable experience, and the organization was top‑notch. From the hotel rooms to the food, buses, and every activity in between—everything was perfect.

 

Now I’m seriously considering studying in Korea, and I can’t wait to visit at least ten thousand more times!

 

I’d also like to express my special gratitude to our group leaders. Dear Junu and Anna, you became so much more than “leaders” to me. Before the camp, I was a bit nervous, but after meeting you, I immediately felt safe and supported. You’re kind, thoughtful, helpful, and hilarious—I’m so thankful you guided our group.

CHE-CHI-SAMI Andrey (거주국: 카자흐스탄)

I really enjoyed my time at OKFriends Camp. It was fun, interesting, and full of new experiences. We visited beautiful places in Korea, learned about Korean history and culture, and had many exciting activities every day. I made friends from different countries and also met Korean students. The teachers and staff were kind and helpful. I also improved my English speaking skills. The camp helped me feel more connected to my Korean roots. I was a little nervous before going, but now I want to join again next year. I will never forget this great experience!

 

 

남마리나 (거주국: 우즈베키스탄)

It was an unforgettable week. Thanks to this camp, I was able to make many new friends, meet ethnic Koreans from all over the world, improve my English and Korean language skills, and get closer to Korean culture. I gained so much knowledge about the history and culture of my people and finally understood my identity — now I can confidently say that we are all one nation. I received so many positive emotions and memories that will stay in my heart for a lifetime. I am sure that we will keep in touch with my teammates and counselors. I am very grateful to this program for giving me the opportunity to visit my ethnic homeland and meet such wonderful people. Thanks to OKFriends, I gained invaluable experience and broadened my horizons.

 

 

임로아 (거주국: 알바니아)

청소년 모국 초청 연수, OKFRIENDS 를 처음 와봐서 긴장되고 무서웠지만, 한 편으로는 설렜다. 이 프로그램에서만큼 다양한 나라에서 온 한국 친구들을 만날 기회가 없을 것이라고 생각했기에 기대가 되었다. 첫 날은 사실 모든 게 낮설고 어색했기에 한게 별로 없다. 두 째 날에는 개회식을 했다. 확실하진 않지만 "국기에 대한 경례"를 처음 해 본 것 같은데 신기한 경험이었다. 환영 오찬도 너무 맛있었지만 음식이 나오는 텀이 길어서 배가 빨리 불렀다. 그 후, 서대문 형무소 역사관, 하이커 그라운드, 그리고 대한민국 역사 박물관을 갔는데, 나는 역사 박물관이 재밌었다, 내가 잘 알지 못하는 옛날의 한국의 관한 정보들이 있었기 때문에. 밤에 창경궁도 갔고, 좋았다. 3일차와 4일차, 그리고 5일차 반까지는 나는 수도권 팀에 있었다. 우리는 인천 지역 고등학교, 강남 미디어 고등학교를 방문해서 다양한 체험을 하고 새로운 친구들도 사귀었다. 저녁 팀빌딩에서는 꿈의 학교를 A4 용지로 만드는 과제가 있었고, 솔직히 우리 15조가 제일 잘했다고 생각한다. 다음 날, 아트팩토리 참기름, 현대모터 스튜디오, 그리고 국회의사당을 방문했다. 아트팩토리에서 뭉크 미디어 아트를 관람했는데 아주 흥미로웠다. 현대 모터 스튜디오에서는 VR로 차량 운전 체험도 해보고, 신형 차량 디자인의 뱃지도 샀다. 국회의사당에서는 해설사님의 설명을 들으며 밑에 자리들이 꽉 차있는 모습을 상상했다. 5일차, 인절미를 만들기 체험을 했는데 젓가락도 받고 인절미도 가져갔다. 오후에는 페인터즈 히어로라는 공연을 봤는데 솔직히 말하면 어린이 공연인 줄 알았는데 제일 재밌던 이벤트 중 하나였다. 6일차에는 미니운동회랑 장기자랑이 있었는데, 장기자랑이 진짜 재밌었다.

 

 

하정우 (거주국: 프랑스)

Okfriends 캠프는 저와 같은 재외동포들이 함께 모여 일주일 동안 친구들과 가까워질 수 있는 공간을 만들어 주었고, 한국의 문화와 언어를 직접 체험할 수 있게 해준 정말 소중한 기회였다고 생각합니다. 항공료 일부를 지원해 주시고, 캠프에 무료로 참여할 수 있도록 해 주셔서 정말 감사했으며, 이 좋은 기회를 절대 놓칠 수 없다고 생각했습니다. 세상에 이런 지원은 정말 드물다고 생각해요. 무엇보다도 전 세계 각지에서 저와 같은 한국 뿌리를 가진 친구들을 만나게 해 주셔서 정말 감사했습니다.

프랑스에서 태어났지만 살면서 외로움을 느낄 때가 많고, 공감받기 어려운 순간도 자주 있었습니다. 우리는 외국인도 아니고, 한국인이라고 말하기에도 애매합니다. 학교, 일상생활, 문화 환경이 모두 다르기 때문이에요. 사실 우리는 두 나라 사이에 낀 존재예요. 외국에서는 외국어, 외국 역사, 외국 문화를 배우지만, 가끔 ‘내가 왜 이 역사를 배워야 하지?'라는 생각이 들었어요. 제 조상은 모두 한국분이시고, 먼저 한국 역사를 아는 것이 더 자연스럽지 않나 싶습니다. 저의 정체성도 프랑스보다는 한국에 더 가깝게 느껴지고요. 그래서 서대문형무소나 근현대사 박물관 같은 곳은 특히 저에게 깊은 울림을 주었습니다.

이번 캠프는 제가 '나는 누구인가'에 대해 더 깊이 생각할 수 있도록 도와주었습니다. 같은 배경을 가진 친구들을 만나 공통된 고민을 나누고, 어려움을 함께 공감할 수 있어서 정말 좋았습니다. 아무래도 그동안 그런 배경을 가진 친구들이 주변에 부족했던 것 같습니다.

이 캠프를 더 즐겁고 의미 있는 경험으로 만들기 위해 작은 아쉬움도 함께 전하고 싶습니다. 우리가 묵었던 숙소는 매우 편안했지만, 개인적으로는 호텔형 숙소보다는 더 넓은 방에서 여러 명이 함께 지내며 이야기를 나눌 수 있는 공간이었으면 더 좋았을 것 같습니다. 그래야 더 빨리 친해지고 자연스럽게 대화를 나눌 수 있었을 것 같습니다. 이번 캠프에서는 한 방에 두 명만 지낼 수 있었고, 보안요원의 감시도 있어서 조금은 자유가 제한되는 느낌이 있었습니다. 숙소는 정말 감사했지만 사실 그보다 더 중요한 것은 모두가 함께 모일 수 있는 공동 공간이라고 생각합니다. 편안함도 중요하지만, 이렇게 소중한 친구들을 만나는 기회가 흔하지 않기 때문입니다.

또한 리더 선생님들께도 진심으로 감사드립니다. 첫날부터 저희들을 편안하게 대해 주시고 믿음을 주셨기 때문입니다. 캠프 분위기를 좋게 만들어주시고 항상 배려심으로 우리를 챙겨주셔서 덕분에 더욱 즐거운 시간을 보낼 수 있었습니다.

이번 캠프는 기억에 많이 남을 것 같습니다. 일주일 동안 꿈같고 비현실적인 세상에 다녀온 기분입니다. 이 기회를 만들어 주신 모든 분들께 진심으로 감사드립니다. 저뿐만 아니라 모든 재외동포 참가자들에게 '나는 어디서 왔는지, 지금의 나는 누구인지, 앞으로 어떤 사람이 되고 싶은지'를 생각해볼 수 있는 소중한 시간이었던 것 같습니다.

이 캠프가 많이 알려져 저와 같은 한국 뿌리를 가진 청소년들이 자신의 정체성을 찾는데 도움이 되었으면 좋습니다.

 

 

심은성 (거주국: 사모아)

During the OK Friends Korean Camp, I learned many new things about Korea that I didn’t know before.

I was truly grateful for the chance to attend such a meaningful camp.

One of the best parts was making friends from all over the world.

The most memorable moment for me was visiting the Seodaemun Prison History Hall.

I was deeply touched by the stories of those who fought for Korea’s independence.

They suffered so much, yet they never gave up on their love for Korea.

Their bravery and sacrifice truly inspired me.

This experience made me feel even prouder to be Korean.

I now want to share what I’ve learned with my friends and family overseas.

The camp was unforgettable and changed how I see my culture and identity.

고야니나 (거주국: 카자흐스탄)

My name is Yanina Kogay, I’m from Kazakhstan. It wasn’t my first time at the OKF camp, and each year I discover and experience something new.

I really liked how the program was packed with activities - we did so much in just one day! One of the most memorable parts was visiting a school in Incheon, where we met local students and saw how their classes are held.

I also enjoyed the creative workshops where we could make something with our own hands and take it. The drawing performance was unforgettable and very moving.

Thanks to many group activities, our team became really close by the end of the camp. Besides all the fun, we also learned a lot about Korean culture by visiting museums, palaces, the National Assembly, Hyundai Motor, and HiKR Ground.

It was an amazing and unforgettable experience. Thank you, OKF!

 

 

이종찬 (거주국: 아랍에미리트)

저는 초등학교 2학년에 아랍에미리트로 가 현재까지 살고 있는 한 학생입니다. 집에서는 부모님과 한국어로 이야기하지만, 학교나 친구들과는 항상 영어로 대화합니다. 그러하여 자연스레 한국어와 그 문화와의 동조감은 계속 떨어지고, 더욱 현지의 문화에 맞춰지는 것을 몸소 느꼈습니다.

 

하지만 이번 청소년 모국 초청 연수는 그런 저에게 정말 특별한 경험이었습니다. 광화문 광장과 역사박물관을 들러 여러 역사의 유물들과 그와 관련된 이야기를 듣고 나니, 지금의 한국이 있기까지 정말 많은 사람들의 헌신과 노력이 희생되었다는 것을 느꼈습니다. 특히 전쟁과 가슴 아픈 피해의 현실들은 몸소 실감하면서 많은 생각이 들었습니다.

 

하이커그라운드와 페인트 히어로즈 뮤지컬 같은 K-POP 문화 체험은 정말 재미있는 시간이었습니다. 특히 페인트 히어로즈는 태어나 단 한 번도 경험해보지 못한 장르의 공연이었고, 다 같이 그 즐거움을 나누며 정말 잊지 못할 경험을 쌓았습니다.

 

또한 국회의사당과 현대모터스튜디오도 매우 인상 깊었습니다. 국회에서는 대한민국이 어떻게 운영되는지, 시민들의 의견을 어떻게 반영하는지에 대해 배웠고, 현대모터스튜디오에서는 한국의 기술력과 미래에 대한 준비를 볼 수 있었습니다. 다양한 현대의 차량들을 직접 타보고 시뮬레이터로 차량을 주행해보니 정말 실감나는 체험이었습니다.

 

무엇보다 좋았던 것은 저와 비슷한 환경에서 자란 친구들과 함께한 시간이었습니다. 서로 한국어가 조금 서툴러도 이해하려고 하고, 도와주고, 기다려주는 모습들이 너무 따뜻했습니다. 처음엔 어색했지만 시간이 갈수록 마음이 열리고, 이제는 정말 좋은 친구들이 생겼습니다.

 

이번 연수를 통해 저는 해외에 살고 있어도 한국을 사랑하고, 한국 문화와 역사에 관심을 가지고 있다는 것이 얼마나 소중한 일인지 깨달았습니다. 저는 앞으로도 이 경험을 잊지 않을 것이고, 연수를 준비해주신 모든 분들께 진심으로 감사드립니다.

I walked into the crowded hall feeling unsure, part of me wishing I had just stayed home and another part quietly curious about what this camp might be like. At first, I kept to myself. I didn’t feel like I had much in common with anyone, and it was hard to join in on their conversations. On the second day, as I wandered alone through Seodaemun Prison Hall, a thought struck me: Why am I walking alone? There are so many people around me I could get to know, so many people I could share this experience with.

In that moment, I decided to change my mindset. I started sitting with new people, reaching out, and opening up. And everything changed. Suddenly the trip felt alive. I realized it wasn’t the places we visited that made it special but it was the people I spent those moments with. By the last day, I couldn’t believe how much I had enjoyed myself. I arrived with no expectations, but I left wishing I could live it all over again. I’ve made memories and friendships that I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life. Thank you so much, OK Friends Camp, for giving me an experience I’ll never forget.

 

 

Pyun Rena (거주국: 미국)

I had so much fun on the camp! I was able to talk to many new people and made many new friends. I was even able to see many of my old friends that I saw last year at the okfriends camp. I told some of my Korean friends from my city and they also had so much fun! I was a bit sad that we got separated though by being in different hotels. But we were still able to see each other sometimes, so it's okay! Everybody was extremely kind and I had very helpful leaders. This year was definitely more strict compared to last year though. It's understandable though. Sometimes I don't believe this camp is real because of how fun it is!

 

 

고은채 (거주국: 중국)

2025 OKFriends 차세대동포 모국 초청연수에 참가하게 되어 정말 감사했습니다.

저는 중국에 살고 있지만, 한국 사람으로서 이번 연수는 정말 특별한 시간이었습니다.

4차 참가자로서 다양한 지역에서 온 친구들과 함께 지내며 매일이 새롭고 즐거웠습니다.

모든 일정이 다 재미있었고, 특히 우리 조 친구들과 선생님과의 시간은 잊지 못할 것 같아요.

K-컬처 체험, 역사 탐방 등 다양한 활동을 통해 한국을 더 가까이 느낄 수 있었습니다.

서대문형무소와 광복 80주년 프로그램은 생각보다 진지하고 깊은 인상을 남겼습니다.

창경궁 야간 탐방 등 한국의 매력을 다양하게 볼 수 있어 좋았습니다.

팀빌딩 활동을 통해 친구들과 금방 친해졌고, 매일 밤 조별 점검 시간도 의미 있었어요.

특히 마지막 날 장기자랑과 환송만찬은 분위기가 너무 좋아서 끝나기 아쉬웠습니다.

짧은 시간이었지만 진짜 많은 걸 보고, 배우고, 느꼈습니다.

한국에 대해 다시 생각하게 된 계기가 되었고, 자부심도 생겼습니다.

친구들과 계속 연락하면서 이 소중한 인연들을 이어가고 싶어요.

잊지 못할 추억을 만들어주신 모든 분들께 진심으로 감사합니다.

다시 한국에 오고 싶은 마음이 커졌고, 다음에 또 이런 기회가 있으면 꼭 참여하고 싶습니다.
