[2026 하계] 청년 3차 - '조알레크사' 참가자 수기 (러시아 거주)

 

다른 나라에서 태어나고 자랐거나 오랜 기간 살아온 재외동포로서, 우리의 삶에서 상당한 부분은 우리의 문화적 뿌리와 조상의 역사, 그리고 우리가 어디에서 비롯되었는지를 기억하고 지켜나가는 데 할애되어 있습니다. 2026 OKFriends Homecoming Youth Camp에서 저와 비슷한 경험을 공유한 사람들을 만나는 것은 제게 깊은 공동체 의식과 소속감을 느끼게 해주었습니다.

 

그럼에도 우리는 서로 닮아 있으면서도 다릅니다. 우리 한 사람 한 사람에게는 저마다의 특별한 이야기가 있고, 바로 이러한 차이들이 우리의 공동체에 더 큰 가치를 더해준다고 생각합니다. 이 캠프는 한국, 미국, 독일, 오스트리아, 캐나다, 카자흐스탄, 프랑스, 우즈베키스탄, 러시아, 스페인 등 수많은 나라에서 온 한인들의 다양한 삶의 이야기를 알아갈 수 있는 기회를 제공합니다. 각자의 문화가 어우러진 삶을 살아가면서도, 동시에 한국인으로서의 정체성을 간직하고 있는 사람들의 이야기입니다.

 

이 모든 사람들과 함께 시간을 보내면서, 저는 물론이고 아마 많은 참가자들 역시 한 가지 사실을 깨닫게 된다고 생각합니다. 우리의 복잡한 민족사와 각자가 자신의 자리와 정체성을 찾아가는 과정에서 겪었던 개인적인 어려움은 결코 불편한 짐이 아니라는 것입니다. 오히려 그것은 우리의 삶에 더 깊은 의미를 더해주는 축복입니다.

 

그렇기에 이 캠프를 가능하게 만들어주신 모든 분들께 감사드리고 싶습니다. 주최자분들, 스태프분들, 후원자분들, 그리고 함께해준 친구들 모두에게 진심으로 감사드립니다. 특히 SP Victoria, SP Jasmine, Sueun-ssaem, 그리고 부산 12팀 친구들에게 특별한 감사의 마음을 전하고 싶습니다. 여러분 덕분에 우리의 일주일간의 여행이 잊지 못할 만큼 즐겁고, 행복하고, 무엇보다 안전한 시간이 될 수 있었습니다.

 

 

As ethnic Koreans born, raised, or long-term resident of another country, a significant part of our life is devoted to preserving our cultural roots and the history of our origin. Meeting others who have shared similar experiences at the 2026 OKFriends Homecoming Youth Camp gives me a profound sense of community and belonging.

 

Still, we are the same yet different. Each and every one of us carries a unique story, and it is precisely these differences that bring value to our community. The camp offers us the chance to learn about the diverse life paths of Koreans from Korea, the US, Germany, Austria, Canada, Kazakhstan, France, Uzbekistan, Russia, Spain, and so many other places - each representing a blend of cultures while holding onto their Korean identity.

 

Being around all these people confirms for me - and I believe for many others - that our complex national history and the personal struggles we've each faced in search of our place and identity are not inconveniences, but rather a

blessing that adds deeper meaning to our lives.

 

That is why I want to thank everyone participating in this camp, including the organizers, staff, supporters, and friends, for making this event possible. I am especially grateful to SP Victoria, SP Jasmine, Sueun-ssaem, and the friends from Team 12 Busan for making our one-week trip memorable, fun, and safe.
